We’re branching out to our fair city

to the south, and hosting a workshop weekend down in Portland!

The workshops are each about two hours long. We have four sessions scheduled:

July 16 – 12:00 noon to 2:00pm
July 16 – 3:00pm to 5:00pm
July 17 – 12:00 noon to 2:00pm
July 17 – 3:00pm to 5:00 pm

More sessions may be added if interest warrents.

and hackerspace in Portland that contributes a lot of neat art to local events and to the Burning Man community.

To sign up for a workshop, go to our registrations page. The class is $50 plus a $10 materials fee.

You’ll walk out with a solid basic understanding of how you can work with EL wire, and you’ll be ready to start incorporating it into your costumes and art projects. You’ll also work out with a simple working piece of wire connected to a driver that you can start to play with right away.

We’ve spent a lot of time in the last couple of weeks revamp

ing the website.

The new version is a lot cleaner, and should be a whole lot easier to navigate.

We also did a lot of optimization so it’s WAY faster than before.
