Our Techno Strobe Driver+1 will light 1- 8 feet of Cool Neon wire. It has a side switch with constant on, off & strobe options, as well as a handy belt-clip. Bright 2.5mm Cool Neon Wire
Our Standard diameter of High Bright Long Life Cool Neon wire is 2.5mm, and about 150% BRIGHTER than our other grades of Cool Neon! High Bright Long Life 5mm Cool Neon Wire
Brand new! Our High Bright Long Life Cool Neon wire is now available in our Hella Phat (5mm) diameter! It is 150% brighter than our standard grade of Cool Neon wire! It dims to about half of it’s original brightness after about 3,000 hours of continuous use (frequency dependent), compared to our standard grade of Cool Neon wire at 2,500 hours and our close-out High Bright Short Life Cool Neon wire, which has a half-life of about 800 hours. Other than brightness, electrically it performs the same as all other Cool Neon wire.

Angel Hair 1.2mm Cool Neon Wire
Angel Hair Cool Neon wire is our smallest diameter and amazing for detail work. It can bend over onto itself 180 degrees on an 1/8″ radius. It lacks the PVC coating that protects and colors Cool Neon wire typically, making it our most fragile diameter. Angel Hair Cool Neon wire in White and Aqua is 1.3mm, & all other colors are 1.2mm. Angel Hair is not recommended for outdoor use, as this diameter is sunlight-sensitive.
Available in: Aqua which looks white when not lit, Blue, Lime Green which looks yellow when not lit, Red, White which looks pink when not lit, Yellow which looks orange when not lit, Pink, Green/Teal, & Purple/Fuchsia!

All solder joints are done in house by trained EL wire engineers. We use the copper-foil method of soldering, as described in our tutorials, rather than soldering the angel wires directly to the pigtail lead. It takes a little longer but we believe this is a worthwhile step as the joint is much more durable!

Tail Wire
Tail wire is best suited for applications in which Cool Neon is attached to other surfaces by sewing, hammering, stapling, etc.. It is ideal for costuming, upholstery applications, art projects and signage. The overall diameter is 3.2mm with a 8mm strip that is 0.5mm thick. Our Plug & Play Connector Extension is the no-soldering-required alternative to using lead wire in your project! Each36, 18, and6 inch length has a Driver Side Connector end on one side, and a Wire Side Connector end on the other. Use as many as you need, because like lead wire, they don’t count toward the maximum length rating of your driver! It’s perfect for adding length between your driver and your Cool Neon wire, and can also be used to link together different strands of Cool Neon wire in series.
28″ Flat Lamp
Using the same technology and drivers as Cool Neon, the FLAT Lamp produces a bright band of glowing light, one quarter-inch wide, mounted on a flexible ribbon .01-inch thick by 0.25-inch wide. FLAT Lamps come in two lengths with solder tabs at one end. They can be cut shorter but unlike EL wire, remnants cannot be re-soldered. The soldering is a little tricky. We recommend the AA Hand held driver for the FLAT lamp.
NOTE: Use a heat sink while soldering the tabs to prevent them from melting the plastic substrate.

3-Foot Ice
Get them while you can, because it is likely when we’re out we will never be able to offer these units again. The new color or wire appears a foggy white when off, but when turned on it’s a bright ICE BLUE. This is a pure blue, not greenish or purplish hue. We call it ICE BLUE, but SKY BLUE would also describe it well as it is nearly the color of a sunny blue sky. The wire is much stiffer and plastic like than out normal Cool Neon wire, but it seems to be very durable resistant to kinking. and The driver has an on/off button and a switch for constant glow or blink and takes 2 AA batteries.

Here are comparisons of the different Laser Starfield Projectors:
The Bliss 50 Starfield Projector is the most powerful model and has more complex optic lens so it generates more and more bright laser starbeams in more complex random patterns.
~ Bliss 15 Starfield Projector is very similar but with less complex optics and less laser starbeams the geometric patterns are more obvious at times. The coverage is similar but less saturated with beams.
~ Laser Stars Starfield Projector is the least powerful or complex one of the series. This starbeam pattern has a brighter central north star that all of the starbeams move around. It has about a 90 degree spread from the lens and covers about 20 foot circle of starbeams with a central blue cloudfield of about 8′, when projected from a floor to an 8 foot ceiling. It uses a cooling fan so you can hear it in operation.
~ LSA20G outdoor Starfield Projector uses the same optics and power of laser as the Bliss 15 but the beams are not moving.

CoolNeon Arduino Shield
This ardunio shield was created by Tully Gehen, and we’re proud to offer it for sale here at SeattleLumin.com!
This controller really pushes EL wire technology forwards to the next level. It has 10 individual channels, and you can have any combination of them on or off at any time. The controller takes an external driver to provide the EL wire power, so you can select which driver fits your needs. Lengths of up to 300 feet are possible!
This controller requires an Ardunio or compatible microcontroller, to work. You will also need to provide the programming and the imagination to bring your project to life.
To select your driver, you’ll need to know how the maximum length of wire that your project will illuminate at any time. For example, if you have 10 lines each with 10 feet of wire attached, and if you’re never going to use more than 5 lines at a time, then you will need a driver that can illuminate up to 50 feet. The fish driver should be well suited to your needs.
If in the above example, you could potentially light up all 10 lines at any one time, then you will want to go with a driver that can illuminate 100 feet at a time. The

Cutting Custom Contour:
With the connector pointing towards you with the illuminated size down you may cut the right side of the ribbon. You can cut very close to the electrode on the left but if you cut past i the ribbon will not light past this point.
When soldering ribbon: there is a 4 pin connector, with a wire side connector cut the connector so both wires are equal length. Solder one wire to the 2 pins on the left side and the other wire to the right 2 pins.
Each ribbon is nearly 40 inches long, we estimate it to be roughly equivalent to 40 ft or wire, so about 1ft or ribbon equals a foot of wire.
1 Ribbon takes 350ma at 12vdc. 2 ribbons take 480ma at 12vdc.

Here are comparisons of the different Laser Starfield Projectors:
The Bliss 50 Starfield Projector is the most powerful model and has more complex optic lens so it generates more and more bright laser starbeams in more complex random patterns.
~ Bliss 15 Starfield Projector is very similar but with less complex optics and less laser starbeams the geometric patterns are more obvious at times. The coverage is similar but less saturated with beams.
~ Laser Stars Starfield Projector is the least powerful or complex one of the series. This starbeam pattern has a brighter central north star that all of the starbeams move around. It has about a 90 degree spread from the lens and covers about 20 foot circle of starbeams with a central blue cloudfield of about 8′, when projected from a floor to an 8 foot ceiling. It uses a cooling fan so you can hear it in operation.
~ LSA20G outdoor Starfield Projector uses the same optics and power of laser as the Bliss 15 but the beams are not moving.
~ LS20G outdoor Starfield Projector uses the same optics and power of laser as the Bliss 15 and the beams are moving like the Bliss 15.

History of this new technology
This amazing new lighting projector design was created by LaserRandy after years of presenting big laser shows at Burning Man and other festivals and he designed the Starfield Projector as a night light for his kids. When his friends saw them we all encouraged him to go into production in 2006 and make them for all of us and the enthusiasm has been building and more products produced ever since then. Now besides the models you see here Randy is designing custom computer interfacing systems for big theme parks around the globe. If you have ever attended Burning Man you will remember seeing these huge laser beams that are visible for miles projecting over the head of the Burning Man in the center of the Playa. We have added a photo of these big laser beams on the playa at Burning Man in our Photo Gallery so you can see another example of this laser master’s works. Now more and more of our lighting effects are being used at this enormous art festival each Labor Day in Northern Nevada. For those of you planning on running these lights away from an AC power connection you will need a generator or an inverter that delivers a pure Sine Wave, not a quasi sine wave or modified sine wave.
