Long-length drivers
This section shows all the long-length battery-powered drivers you can purchase. Connect the driver to a length of wire, add batteries and you’re ready to glow.The drivers on this page are appropriate for long lengths, from about 50 feet up to about 330 feet. Be sure to note the maximum length of wire you can expect the driver to be able to light. These drivers will drive shorter lengths of wire, but if you’re trying to drive less than about 50 feet, you can save yourself some money using one of our short length or medium length drivers.Check out our tutorials to learn how to connect the wire to the driver.

Don’t feel like soldering that wire yourself? No Problem! Let us get you glowing!
All solder joints are done in house by trained EL wire engineers. We use the copper-foil method of soldering, as described in our tutorials, rather than soldering the angel wires directly to the pigtail lead. It takes a little longer but we believe this is a worthwhile step as the joint is much more durable!

Big Boy Classic
This is our smallest and one of the most powerful Long Length Drivers we offer.
Illuminates: 20-120 feet
Modes: Constant on only
Body Color: Grey
Option Control: No on/off switch. Solder in a toggle switch for on/off functionality,
or just unplug the 9v snap from the power source.
Power Requirements: This Driver has a 9v snap, but a 9v will not be very bright or last long on a longer length.
We recommend powering off wall current using our AC Power Converter (#ACBB). Or, use our Long 8 AA Battery
Pack (#ACL8AA) to run your Driver off of 8 AA batteries (12 Volts) instead of a 9 Volt battery,
which will make your Cool Neon wire glow brighter, & for longer! (Highly recommended!)

This driver comes with a driver side connector pre-soldered to the driver so you can easily plug in a ‘wire side connector’, ‘Y-connector,’ or ‘plug-and-play extension.’ You will receive 1 ‘wire side connector’ FREE when you order this driver. Note: It is normal for all drivers to make an audible pitch when turned on.
Big Boy Driver
Brand new Big Boy! Can power 20- 100 feet of Cool Neon wire. 12- 14 Volt input power requirement. Please note: this driver will cause your Cool Neon wire to “flicker” if overloaded. Some people particularly like this effect.
You can purchase our AC Adaptor for the Big Boy (#ACBB) & plug your driver into the wall, no batteries required. Use our Long 8 AA Battery Pack (#ACL8AA) to run your Big Boy off of 8 AA batteries (12 Volts) (Dimensions: 3″ x 1.5″ x 1.5″)
Big Boy Driver with Switch
This is the older version of the Big Boy driver, but still works well. One nice advantage over the newer Big Boy is that it has an integrated switch to flip between on, off and blink.
We recommend the 8 AA Battery Cage (AC8AA) or the AC Adapter (ACBB) for the best results.
Driver Max
Powers up to 330 feet of Cool Neon wire at full brightness. This unit is about the size and density of a brick. The Driver Max comes with red and black 12 Volt DC input wires, a 9 Volt battery cap & our standard Plug & Play connector set.
