All solder joints are done in house by trained EL wire engineers.  We use the copper-foil method of soldering, as described in our tutorials, rather than soldering the angel wires directly to the pigtail lead.  It takes a little longer but we believe this is a worthwhile step as the joint is much more durable!

Our 4 AAA Variable Speed Driver will light 1-15 feet of Cool Neon wire. It has a switch with on, off, and blink modes & a variable speed blink rate dial.

Lights 1- 30 feet of Cool Neon wire. Has a switch for constant on, off, or blink modes with a variable speed dial. The 9 Volt Variable Speed Driver has a self-contained battery compartment that holds one 9 Volt battery (not included) & comes with a belt-clip. This unit comes with our Plug & Play connector set.

The Small AC Driver lights 1- 20 feet of Cool Neon wire & comes with one Plug & Play connector set. It has a toggle switch with constant on, off, slow blink (2.5 per second), or fast blink (4 per second) modes. It is powered by wall current, & plugs right into the wall with no additional AC power supply needed! This driver comes with a driver side connector pre-soldered to the driver so you can easily plug in a ‘wire side connector’, ‘Y-connector,’ or
‘plug-and-play extension.’ Note: It is normal for all drivers to make an audible pitch when turned on. (Dimensions: 1” x 2 .3” x 1.6”)

This driver is popular among our Light Saber building customers. Our Classic Pipsqueak Driver will light 4- 20 feet of Cool Neon wire. This little cube has a 9- 12 Volt DC input & comes with a 9 Volt battery cap & 1 Plug & Play connector set. It can also be powered off wall current using our AC Power Converter (#ACDF). Or, use our Long 8 AA Battery Pack (#ACL8AA) to run your Classic Pipsqueak Driver off of 8 AA batteries (12 Volts) instead of a 9 Volt battery, which will make your Cool Neon wire glow brighter, & for longer! (Highly recommended!)

Our workhorse driver lights 2-45 feet of Cool Neon wire with blink or constant on modes.Or Quieter Blue Fish Driver (constant-ON only) Lights 2-35 feet of Cool Neon wire. These little cubes have a 9- 12-volt DC input & come with a 9 Volt battery cap and one Plug & Play connector set. The Quieter Blue Fish Driver is Constant on only. They can also be powered off wall current using our AC Power Converter (#ACDF). Or, use our Long 8 AA Battery Pack (#ACL8AA) to run your Fish Driver off of 8 AA batteries (12 Volts) instead of a 9 Volt battery, which will make your Cool Neon wire glow brighter, & for longer! Here’s a new feature on an old favorite. These Fish Drivers run 1 – 35 feet of Cool Neon Wire and have a side switch that allows you to choose Blink, Constant On, or Off.
Note: We don’t know why, but Blink mode is labeled MU. Sorry. Dimensions: 1.25in X 1.5in X 2in.

Our Large Strobing Driver will strobe 10-50 feet of Cool Neon wire. It is powered using 12 to 14 Volts DC and comes with one Plug & Play connector set and a 9 Volt battery cap.

Our Pipsqueak Driver will light 4- 20 feet of Cool Neon wire. It comes with 1 Plug & Play connector set and a 9- 13.8 Volt output with a 9 Volt battery cap attached. Or, use our Long 8 AA Battery Pack (#ACL8AA) to run your Pipsqueak Driver off of 8 AA batteries (12 Volts) instead of a 9 Volt battery, which will make your Cool Neon wire glow brighter, & for longer! (Highly recommended!) The Pipsqueaks are our smallest medium length driver, lightweight & perfect for many projects. They are perfect for Plug & Play use in PC Cases with our Case Mod Power Harness. Please note the new, larger design with 2 screw hole mounting brackets! (Dimensions: 1 1/8 ” x 1 1/8 ” x 1″)

This Blue Fish Driver is quieter than most drivers. While it is normal
all drivers make a high pitch hum the Blue Fish is able to run 2-35ft
brightly with but at a lower volume. There is no on/off switch or blink
modes, but it’s quieter operation more than makes up for it. And it’s BLUE!

Our Long-length Sound Activated Driver can power 20- 50 feet of Cool Neon wire using 9- 12 Volts. It has a side switch with constant on, off, or music (sound activated) modes as well as a dial that allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the microphone. It comes with one Plug & Play connector set attached, and a Choice of a 9 Volt battery snap connector, or a cigarette lighter plug for input power. The sound activated mode is amazing! Your Cool Neon wire will brighten and dim as it pulses to sound within the range that you have adjusted it to detect. We recommend using our 8 AA Battery cage with this unit for the brightest results.
