This section shows all the short-length battery-powered drivers you can purchase. Connect the driver to a length of wire, add batteries and you’re ready to glow.The drivers on this page are appropriate for shorter lengths. Be sure to note the maximum length of wire you can expect the driver to be able to light. You can find drivers on this page the can light up to about 15 feet. AA Handheld Driver
Our AA + 1 Handheld Driver will light 1- 15 feet of Cool Neon wire. It has a single push button with constant on, off, and 2 blink rates, as well as a handy belt-clip. It requires two AA batteries (contained within the unit) which will keep your Cool Neon wire glowing for about 8- 10 hours in constant mode and up to 30 hours in blink mode! Available in: black only. Techno Strobe Driver + 1
Our Techno Strobe Driver+1 will light 1- 8 feet of Cool Neon wire. It has a side switch with constant on, off & strobe options, as well as a handy belt-clip. Our Techno Strobe Driver +1 comes with one Plug & Play connector set. Two AA batteries will keep your Cool Neon glowing for about 8-10 hours in constant mode, and about 30 hours in strobe mode!
1 AA Driver
Our 1 AA Driver lights up to 5 feet of Cool Neon wire & comes with one Plug & Play connector set. This unit has a side switch with constant on, off, or blink modes. (Dimensions: 2.25” x 1.3” x .75 ”) (Powered by 1 self contained AA battery, not included)
AAA Handheld Driver
Brand new! Our 1 AAA Driver lights 0-3.3 feet (40cm) of Cool Neon wire & comes with one Plug & Play connector set. This unit has a side switch with constant on, off, or blink modes. (Dimensions:1.8” x 1” x .7 ”) (Powered by 1 self contained AAA battery, not included)
Sound Activated Driver
Our 9- 14 Volt Sound Activated Driver will power 3- 15 feet of Cool Neon wire. It has a sound controlled flash mode with a dial for sensitivity. It comes with our Plug & Play connector set and has a switch for continuous on, off, or sound activated modes. Our Sound Activated Driver pulses and fades to music- a super cool effect that no other driver that we carry has! Comes with a “9 volt cap” only. (Dimensions: 2 1/2″ x 2″ x 1 1/2″)
TaxiMan Strobe Driver
Our TaxiMan Strobe Driver will strobe 6 inches- 2 feet of Cool Neon wire. It has a constant on / off and strobe switch and is powered using two CR2032 batteries, which are included!
Techno Flash Driver
Our Techno Flash Driver will light 1 inch- 3 feet of Cool Neon wire. It has a side switch with constant on, off & blink modes as well as a handy belt-clip. It also has 10 inches of reinforced lead wire for added durability. Two AAA batteries will last about 10 hours in constant mode, and about 20 hours in blink mode! . (Dimensions: 1″ x .75″ x 3″)
Techno Strobe Driver
Our Techno Strobe Driver will light 1- 8 feet of Cool Neon wire. It has a side switch with constant on, off & strobe options, as well as a handy belt-clip. Don’t feel like soldering that wire yourself? No Problem! Let us get you glowing!
All solder joints are done in house by trained EL wire engineers. We use the copper-foil method of soldering, as described in our tutorials, rather than soldering the angel wires directly to the pigtail lead. It takes a little longer but we believe this is a worthwhile step as the joint is much more durable!
