The High Bright 2.5mm wire is about 150% brighter than the similarly sized standard gauge of EL wire.  This wire is perfect for many applications such as signs, bike frames, and other fixed applications that don't get a lot of flex.

Because it uses the bright core, this wire is less recommended for applications that experience a lot of flex, such as costumes, particularly around the elbows and knees.  

The Standard and Phat gauges are recommended in those applications.

All EL wire is sold by the foot.

Note that raw EL wire sold without connectors and required you to solder a connector to one end of the wire.  For tutorials on how to solder EL wire, click here.
